CEDAR SPRINGS METAL ART
BARON lives in Falls County, in a small rural community of central Texas.
He makes metal sculptures using old tools, horseshoes, pieces of chain, bolts, doorknobs and other rusted pieces. He makes three dimensional imagery that captures not only the spirit of the ranch, but also some whimsy as well.
He has made several horse heads, long horn steers, buffalos, statues, flowers, room dividers, and abstract pieces.
His father was a welder during World War 2 in the shipyards in Long Beach, California. Barons father started teaching him to weld when Baron was 9 or 10 years old. Baron used that experence later in life when he was in the auto repair business, and trailer manufacturing business.
Over Barons lifetime he has had a variety of interests...among them stained glass and jewelry making, but none have held his interest as much as metal sculpture. He enjoys being able to express his creative ideas in this way.
He enjoys going to yard and farm sales in central Texas to find old tools and other supplies for his craft.
He hopes you enjoy seeing his work as much as he enjoyed making it.
